Sanxingdui site culture boasts as the Ninth wonder in the world and one of the most important archaeological discovery in the 20th century. This ancient culture had a well developed bronze casting culture which permitted the manufacture of many impressive articles, for instance, the world's oldest life-size standing human statue, and a bronze tree with birds, flowers, and ornaments. The most striking finds were dozens of large bronze masks and heads represented with angular human features, exaggerated almond-shaped eyes, some with protruding pupils, and large upper ears.

The Jinsha site was accidentally discovered in February 2001. The site flourished around 1000 BC and shares similarities in burial objects with the Sanxingdui site. Ivory, jade artifacts, bronze objects, gold objects and carved stone objects were found at the site. Today, our English guide will go with you to find out the secrets and connections between those 2 ancient mysteries.

7:30 am-9:00 am Our driver-guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and then escort you from Chengdu to Sanxingdui Musuem, Guanghan city. On the way, our guide will give you the brief introductions about Chengdu and around.

9:00 am-12:00 Our guide will show you around the museum. Sanxingdui Museum is a specialized museum that focuses on the ancient Sanxingdui culture. It houses a remarkable collection of artifacts from this lost civilization, which date back to over 3,000 years ago. You can explore the impressive selection of bronzes, jades, and other ancient objects, as well as learn about the mysterious history of Sanxingdui.

12:00 am-1:00 pm Our driver-guide will recommend you local restaurants to have lunch

1:00 pm- 2:30 pm You will drive from Guanghan back Chengdu downtown to visit Jinsha site museum where located at West Chegndu.

2:30 pm- 4:30 pm Our guide will show you the large-scale building foundations, the sacrificial zone, general residential sites, large-scale burial grounds, etc. Among the unearthed precious cultural relics are gold, bronze, jade, stone, ivory objects and lacquerware, tens of thousands of pottery pieces, tons of ivory, and thousands of wild boar tusks and antlers. Particularly, you can see the symbol of Chengdu-the "Sun Bird" face to face.

4:30 pm-5:30 pm Our driver-guide will send you back your Chengdu downtown hotel.
