Day 1:Shanghai

Visit the Oriental Pearl Tv Tower--------which is the third tallest Tv Tower in the world,Transparent Sightseeing Gallery is located on the second main sphere, with a circumference 150 meters and a width of 2.1 meter. Tourists can overlook the panoramic view of the Huangpu River through the transparent glass at your feet, which make visitors feel like walking in the cloud.

Shanghai Historical Development Museum------Shanghai History Museum located beneath the below the Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower was founded in 1983, and formally opened to the public on May 27, 1984. It was a comprehensive museum reflecting the development of Shanghai and surrounding areas from every aspect, by means of more than 1,300 cultural artifacts, literature, and pictures. It presented a holistic picture of the long history of Shanghai from remote antiquity to the liberation of the city in 1949.The displays covered Shanghai civilization for over 6000 years, including Ma Jia Bing Culture, Songze Culture and Liangzhu Culture. It also reflected local history from the First Opium War in 1840, when Shanghai was forced to operate as a treaty port and then the foreign concessions become a key part of Shanghai’s history and later liberation.

Yu Garden-----Yu Garden is a famous garden of classical style in the south of the Yangtze River. Initially built under the reign of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty and up to now it has a history of over 500 years. The major scenic attractions in the Yu Garden include the Mountain and Forest in City, Pretty Woods and Elegant Dale, Charming Spots by the Spring Hall, Eye-catching Scenes of Water and Rockeries,etc.

Shanghai’s Old Town----The Old Town is home to historic buildings. Long histories and unique customs can be found in there. It reflects the way of life and cultural traditions of the past and present Shanghai people.
Franch concession Xintiandi------Xintiandi is the top choice in French Concession.It has been a Shanghai icon for over a decade. An upmarket entertainment and shopping complex modelled on traditional alleyway (lòngtáng) homes, this was the first development in the city to prove that historical architecture makes big commercial sense. Jade Buddha Temple----- Jade Buddha Temple of Shanghai just likes a pure land, quite peaceful and venerable. Originally built in 1882 of Qing Dynasty (1638-1911), it is a temple to enshrine two jade Buddha statues which were brought from Burma by the monk from Mount Putuo temple, hence obtaining the name.

Day 4:Shanghai - Zhouzhuang water town -Suzhou

Zhouzhuang water town-------Known as the “number one water town” in China, Zhouzhuang is in UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre Tentative List and in the first batch of the national 5A scenic spots. The destination preserves traditional architecture with distinct riverside features including revetments, arch bridges, white Connected Bridge

The Connected Bridge------It refers to the Shide Bridge and the Yong’an Bridge attached to each other during the period between 1573 and 1619. Seen from above, the connected bridges -- an arch bridge and a flagstone bridge -- resemble a key used in the past. The late famous artist Chen Yifei (1946-2005) painted the two bridges into his famous work Memory of Hometown in 1984, winning countless praise for the beauty of this enchanting waterfront town.walls and black tiles.

Shen’s Family Mansion------The Hall of Shen's Residence originally known as Jingye Tang, was built by Shen Wansan's (a legendary tycoon) in Ming Dynasty.  And now, It as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at Jiangsu provincial level it enjoys great popularity among visitors

Zhang’s Family Mansion-----One of a handful of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) structures preserved in Zhouzhuang, the Zhang Family Mansion covers an area of more than 1,800 square meters with dozens of rooms and a private garden. It was listed as the one of the foremost protected cultural heritage sites in Jiangsu province.

Lingering Garden-----It was built in the year of 1593 Ming Dynasty , the garden was selected to be one of the first batch of places enjoying the status of the key cultural and historical relic site under state-level protection. It has been known as one of the “Four Famous Classic Gardens”, and was included in UNESCO’s the World Cultural Heritage List in 1997. The year 2010 witnessed the garden added to the list of national 5A-level scenic areas.
Pan Gate Ancient City Wall-----According to historical records, Panmen, or Pan Gate, built in 514, was one of the eight gates of the capital of Wu Kingdom.  As a landmark of the ancient city of Suzhou, Panmen is the only existing ancient parallel city gate for both land and water in China.

Tiger Hill------According to the Historical Records, the King of Wu Helu was buried on the hill, called then "the Hill Emerging from the Sea". The legend goes that three days after his burial a white tiger appeared squatting on the hill. Hence the name. The Yunyan Temple Pagoda and the Sword Pool are well-known features of the hill. With a history going back more than 1,000 years, the simple, archaic and imposing Yunyan Temple Pagoda, also known as the Second Leaning Tower on earth, stands aloft at the top of the hill, serving as a symbol of ancient Suzhou for years, The Tomb of the Wu King Helu under the Sword Pool has remained an unsolved mystery for two and a half millennia.

 

Day 6:Suzhou Wuxi 

Wuxi Tour A From Shanghai-Grand Buddha at Ling Shan,Linshan Town-Nianhua Bay/Nianhua Wan

Grand Buddha at Ling Shan——-The Grand Buddha is located on the north shore of Lake Tai, near Wuxi, Jiangsu. It is one of the largest Buddha statues in China and also in the world.The Grand Buddha at Ling Shan is a bronze Amitabha standing Buddha outdoor, weighing over 700 metric tons (690 long tons; 770 short tons). It was completed at the end of 1996. The monument is 88 meters (289 ft) in total height, including 9 m lotus pedestal.The majority of the attractions sit along a southeast-northwest axis from the main gate to the Grand Buddha statue with some sights to the east. Besides the temples, statues and gardens, you can also attend some meaningful Buddhist performances.

 

1.Nine Dragons Bathing Shakyamuni

According to the Buddhist classic Abhiniskramana-sutra, the Buddha Shakyamuni could speak and walk when he was born. A lotus grew and bloomed on every step he made when he walked seven steps in the four directions. Then, he pointed to the sky with one hand and pointed to the ground with the other hand and said “I am the honored lord of the world”. At that time, two pools appeared in the garden and nine dragons appeared in the sky spitting out water to bath Shakayamuni.

 

Travelers can enjoy the real scene of “Nine Dragon Bathing Shakyamuni” which does not only exist in the legendary story. With the Buddhist music starting, the six pieces of lotus flowers are blooming and the 7.2-meter-tall Golden Buddha is appearing with one hand pointing to the sky and the other pointing to the ground. The nine dragons are spitting out water for about 10 meters high to bath the sacred Buddha. Sometimes if weather permits, you can even see the rainbow over the water. Travelers can even taste the holy water outflowing from the mouths of phoenixes standing around the fountain. It is said that the holy water can bring luck and health to you.

2.Brahma Palace

The Brahma Palace is situated at the foot of Lingshan Hill with magnificent architecture, harmonious layout, tall colonnade, soaring dome and large-scale hall. The architecture is an example to present profound Buddhism with a blend of traditional cultural elements and modern features. Entering inside the palace, travelers can appreciate the exquisite Dongyang woodcarving, elegant murals by Dunhuang skilled painters, grand oil paintings, quaint cloisonne Sumeru lamps and lots of art treasures scattered in Brahma Palace.

 

The inspiring performance called “Ode to Auspice” is held every day in the Altar of Brahma Palace. Time to Enjoy “Ode to Auspice”: 10:35; 11:30; 14:00 and 16:00 (Monday to Friday); 10:35; 11:30; 13:00; 14:00; 15:00 and 16:00 (Saturday and Sunday). Travelers should come 20 minutes ahead for checking in.

 

3.Five Mudra Mandala

Gorgeous golden roof, huge gilding aquaria, striking prayer flags… This is the scene of Five Mudra Mandala with unique and original Tibetan architecture. It occupies 8000 square meters, like a standard football field. And it stands 31.55 meters tall with six stories. This is the well-known type of mandala – the mandala of the “Five Buddhas”, archetypal Buddha forms embodying various aspects of enlightenment. The “Five Wisdom Buddhas” are enshrined in five directions, including Rratnasambhava in the south, Amitabha in the west, Amoghasiddhi Buddha in the north and Akshobhya in the east and Vairocana Buddha in the center. The inner decoration of Five Mudra Mandala is holy, pure and solemn with painted sculptures, mural, woodcarvings, Thangka, gold-platint, all presenting spectacular Mandala art.

 

4.Buddha’s Hand Square

On the left side of Buddha’s Hand Square is the largest palm of Buddha in the world and on the right side of the square is a Maitreya Buddha with 100 children playing with him on his body.

 

5.Largest Buddha Hand in the World: The 11.7-meter high and 5.5-meter wide statue of the hand is a 1:1 replica of the right hand of the Grand Buddha of Lingshan. You can imagine how magnificent the Lingshan Buddha is. You can either observe or touch the big hand. This right hand is the “giving Abhaya Mudra” which means to overcome suffering and make all living creatures free of fear. Buddha’s Hand in Chinese is “Foshou” which is the homophonic phrase of “Fushou” (happiness and longevity). Visitors believe that touching this big hand will bring good fortune and longevity.

 

6.100 Children Playing with Maitreya Buddha: This 8.5-meter-long bronze Maitreya Buddha is always smiling with 100 children playing on his body. Some of them are making a human pyramid, some doing tug-of-war, some poking Buddha’s belly with tree branch, and some peeing on the body… The Maitreya Buddha does not mind what the children do on his body and he tolerates, forgives and loves all the children. He is always magnanimous, so he owns the true happiness.

 

Later Day Visit Linshan Town-Nianhua Bay/Nianhua Wan——-Lingshan Township’s Nianhua Bay is a Zen-inspired resort town where you can go on a journey of spiritual discovery. The town is built in ancient Chinese style, with Zen as the central theme. During the day, you can visit the Zen music halls, the flower chamber, the music gazebo and Nianhua flower garden and tower, and other architectures. You can check out the arts and crafts shops. When you get tired, you can sit down somewhere to get a drink or grab a bite. In the evening, you can photograph the quiet night of Nianhua Bay and take a look at the novelty 3D water screen movie on Nianhua Lake.

Day 7:Wuxi -Hangzhou

Three Kingdoms Flim City——-Located in the southwestern suburbs of the city of Wuxi, Three Kingdoms City was constructed by CCTV (China Central Television) in 1993 to be the set of Romance of Three Kingdoms historical tv series. Romance of Three Kingdoms is one of the most famous and long-lasting series on Chinese television and Three Kingdoms Film City is the most popular among several similar sites.

 

Water Margin City and Outlaws of Marsh City——Other well-known television setsThe series takes place in the Three Kingdoms era, a time known in Chinese history for a series of intrigues and frame-ups, dethrone conspiracies and political manipulation.Three Kingdoms included Wei Kingdom (220-265), Shu Kingdom (221-263) and Wu Kingdom (229-280), which ruled as a single Dynasty from 220, when Wei overpowered the Eastern Han Dynasty, until 280 when Wu lost to Court of Jin.

 

The whole “city” covers an area of over 350.000 square meters. Even though all structures were built from scratch they are accurate replicas of buildings in the Three Kingdoms era and therefore follow Han Dynasty architecture. The most famous and impressive are: King of Wu’s Palace, Cao Cao’s Army Camp, Gaulu Temple, Seven Star Altar, Peach Garden, Arena and Horse Race Course. More than twenty smaller structures are scattered around the set. The site is quite appealing to both movie fans and visitors interested in Chinese history and culture.

 

Turtle Head Isle (Yuantouzhu)——–As an old saying goes, to visit Taihu Lake, Turtle Head Isle is the best place to go. It is a small peninsula resembling a turtle head located in the northwest of Taihu Lake in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, hence the name. Famous for its beautiful scenery, especially cherry blossoms, the place attracts lots of tourists every year. Inside the attraction, there are over 10 individual scenic spots, including Cherry Blossom Valley, Taihu Fairy Island sand Chongshan Yinxiu. With local countryside scenery and landscaped gardens in southern Chinese style, Turtle Head Isle is a top attraction you should pay a visit to in Wuxi.

Lingyin Buddha Temple & Flying Peak----------The scenic area includes Feilai Feng (Flying Peak) and Lingyin Temple. Feilai Feng faces the slopes of Lingyin Temple. Lingyin Temple has a history of more than 1600 years. The temple has a classical Jiangnan Temple layout.
